ชอบเก็บเรื่องเก่าค้างปีมาทำให้ตัวเองเป็นทุกข์

บางคนชอบทำตัวเป็นนักอนาคตวิทยา

ชอบเป็นทุกข์ล่วงหน้าไปหลายสิบปี

บางคนชอบทำตัวเป็นนักเศรษฐศาสตร์

คนรักให้ช่อดอกไม้แทนที่จะขอบใจกลับถามว่าราคากี่บาท

บางคนชอบทำตัวเป็นนักการเมือง

ชอบมองทุกเรื่องว่าล้วนมีคนอยู่เบื้องหลัง

บางคนชอบทำตัวเป็นนักธุรกิจ

ในหัวคิดแต่เรื่องเงินทองแม้กับญาติวงศ์พงศา

บางคนชอบทำตัวเป็นนักโทษ

ชอบกักขังความโกรธไว้ในเรือนจำแห่งหัวใจ

บางคนชอบทำตัวเป็นนักจิตวิทยา

ชอบให้คำปรึกษาโดยไม่สนใจว่า คนอื่นอยากฟังหรือเปล่า

บางคนชอบทำตัวเป็นนักคิด

เก็บเรื่องน้อยเรื่องนิดมาฟุ้งจนกลายเป็นเรื่องใหญ่

บางคนชอบทำตัวเป็นนักวิจารณ์

วิพากษ์แหลกลาญจนไม่เหลือคนดีให้คบ

บางคนชอบทำตัวเป็นนักสืบ

รู้ทุกซอกทุกหลืบของคนอื่นแต่ไม่รู้จักตัวเอง !

Some people like to act like archeologists,

saving things from years past to bring them suffering.

Some people like to act like forecasters,

suffering decades in advance.

Some people like to act like economists,

when their loved one brings them flowers, instead of thanking they ask how much it costed.

Some people like to act like politicians,

looking at every matter as if there’s someone behind it all.

Some people like to act like businesspeople,

thinking of only financial gain even with their own relatives.

Some people like to act like prisoners,

looking up anger in the prison of their hearts.

Some people like to act like psychologists,

giving advice regardless of whether others want to hear it.

Some people like to act like thinkers,

taking small issues and turning them into big issues.

Some people like to act like critics,

criticising until these are no good people left to interact with.

Some people like to act like investigators,

knowing every nook and cranny of others but not knowing themselves.
